NGO's 'set fire' to protest use of forest biomass

  • On Monday (November 15) a group of activists gathered in front of the European Parliament in Brussels to protest against production of bioenergy in Europe by burning wood. The group was a composed coalition of NGOs and staged a fake burning of wooden logs to represent the emissions generated by the combustion of wood.

EURACTIV spoke to the protesters on site to ask them about their demands in changing the Renewable Energy Directive.
